As a lock nut company in China, ZJB Fastener is able to offer you different types of lock nuts in line with various standards. Compared with normal hex nuts, the lock nuts can play a better role in self-locking and self-tightening. There are mainly four ways for nylon locking nuts to prevent loosening: structural locking, riveting and punching locking, mechanical locking, and friction locking. The locknut types are generally used in core parts with high requirements for tightening, such as locking bearings, punching machines, etc. Nylon lock nut is kind of friction locking,The main way that nylon lock nuts (also known as nylon insert lock nuts or anti-loosening nuts) prevent loosening is by using the elastic interference of the nylon ring to generate a continuous anti-loosening friction force.

Its working principle has these key points:
1. Elastic deformation of the nylon ring
There is a nylon ring above the inner hole of the nut. When installing, the thread of the bolt will be squeezed into the nylon ring, causing the nylon to undergo elastic deformation and tightly grip the thread.
2. Increase friction
The friction coefficient between nylon and metal threads is relatively large. Combined with the pressure generated by the fit deformation, it significantly increases the friction torque of the thread pair, preventing the nut from loosening on its own due to vibration or shock.
3. Elastic reaction force
The nylon ring maintains a certain elastic tension for a long time. Even when the temperature changes or the load fluctuates, it can maintain a certain preload, preventing loosening due to relaxation.
4. Stable anti-loosening effect
Compared with ordinary nuts, the anti-loosening performance of nylon lock nuts is more durable and can be reused multiple times (but the elasticity of the nylon will decrease after a certain number of uses, and the anti-loosening effect will weaken).

-High-quality nylon should have good heat resistance, corrosion resistance and anti-aging properties
-Mechanical properties: Tensile strength, elastic modulus and toughness need to meet the standard requirements.
-Stability: Add appropriate stabilizers to resist ultraviolet rays, thermal aging and chemical corrosion.
