A castle nut ( also knowed as castellated nut) is a specialized nut with slots or notches cut into one end. Resembling a medieval castle's parapet,so called castle nut.
It is used with a pin or safety wire threaded through a drilled hole in the bolt to permanently prevent loosening from vibration. It is also belong to anti-loose nut.
