Introduction of China Import and Export Fair-Canton Fair
China Import and Export Fair, also known as the Canton Fair, was established in the spring of 1957. Co-hosted by the Ministry of Commerce of PRC and the People's Government of Guangdong Province and organized by China Foreign Trade Centre, it is held every spring and autumn in Guangzhou, China. As a comprehensive international trading event with the longest history, the largest scale, the most complete exhibit variety, the largest buyer attendance, the most diverse buyer origin and the greatest business turnover in China, Canton Fair is hailed as China’s No.1 Fair and the barometer of China’s foreign trade.
As the window, epitome and symbol of China's opening up and an important platform for international trade cooperation, Canton Fair has withstood various challenges and never been interrupted since its inception. It has been successfully held for 137 sessions and established trade relations with more than 229 countries and regions around the world. The accumulated export volume has amounted to about USD 1.5 trillion and the total number of overseas buyers attending the Canton Fair onsite and online has exceeded 12 million. The Fair has effectively promoted trade connections and friendly exchanges between China and the world.
The much-anticipated 2025 Autumn Canton Fair is set to open its doors from October 15th to November 4th in Guangzhou, China. As a leading platform for international trade, the Canton Fair has long been a significant event that attracts global merchants, serving as a bridge for business cooperation and innovation exchange.
This autumn's Canton Fair features a series of exciting highlights. The exhibition structure has been optimized around three major themes: "Advanced Manufacturing", presenting cutting-edge technologies and intelligent products; "Quality Home Life", offering a wide range of exquisite home products; and "Better Life", focusing on items that meet emerging consumer demands.
With over 45,000 exhibitors both online and offline, including more than 8,000 high-quality enterprises with special designations like specialized and sophisticated firms and high-tech companies, the fair will showcase a vast array of innovative products. Additionally, there will be more than 200 "Trade Bridge" matchmaking activities, around 15 conference forums, and approximately 400 new product launches, providing numerous opportunities for communication and cooperation.
